The Navua river level has dropped from 3.6 m to 2.6 meters since 11 last night.
Provincial Administrator Namosi Iakabo Waqanidrola said a team however will continue to monitor the situation as the severe flood warning for the Navua river is yet to be lifted.
Waqanidrola said currently 519 evacuees are now sheltering at the five evacuation centers that are open.
He added that among the evacuations that happened overnight was the re-location of the Navua hospital staff to Romatanitobua House.
Meanwhile in the last hour rain has also stopped in Navu.
