The excitement is building as Navtarang’s Top 100 Songs Countdown kicks off today at 2pm, promising nonstop entertainment until midnight.

Senior Content Director, Satya Nand says the songs were chosen from a pool of 150 to 160 tracks sourced from various platforms.

He says the best of all those songs were picked up.

Nand says the selection process included Navtarang’s weekly Top 20 list, international hits, chart-toppers from India, superhit movie tracks and viral songs from platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.

He says listener feedback also played a significant role, alongside input from the station’s personalities.

When asked about the song receiving the highest votes, Nand says it remains confidential for now but says lots of guesses are coming in and only he knows which song has created history.

He says listeners can also look forward to many prizes, including cash, vouchers, and gift packs to be given away hourly during the countdown.

Nand wishes everyone a very special New Year, filled with happiness, proud moments and good memories.

Meanwhile, Radio Sargam will be hosting Golden Shots where the best songs from each decade will be played and people also have chances to win one of many prizes.

The Navtarang Countdown is sponsored by Vodafone, FMF, Motibhai's and Tertiary Scholarship and Loans Service, while Sargam Golden Shots is sponsored by Vodafone and FMF.
