Nausori chief, the Komai Nausori Ratu Lepani Tagicakibau.

Nausori chief, the Komai Nausori Ratu Lepani Tagicakibau says they will be calling for expression of interest from investors for the development at the old bus stand and the river bank site in Nausori.

Tagicakibau says they were talking with an investor but have not been able to reach an agreement.

He says they want to make sure that the landowners are benefitting from this development.

Tagicakibau says they want a development which looks attractive from the Davuilevu end of the Rewa river.

Meanwhile, construction work on the five storey complex at the old Nausori market site is expected to start next month.

Shop and Save Limited Managing Director, Babu Ratan Deo had earlier said that construction work on the $40 million project is likely to finish before the end of next year.

The complex will have apartments, a cinema, conference rooms, supermarkets and 350 parking spaces.
