The Nausori Rugby Club 10’s tournament aims to prepare players for the new season of the Skipper Cup and the Vanua Championship competition that will kick off next month.

Tournament organiser Malakai Yamaivava says this tournament is a timely one as players will want to use it to prepare themselves for the new provincial season especially players who will be representing teams like Naitasiri, Rewa, Tailevu and Northland.

Yamaivava says the first Nausori 10s tournament was held last year and it was a successful one, so they will be looking forward to building on that for this year.

He says they have been receiving good responses from a lot of teams as they are showing their interest in participating in this tournament.

He adds they are targeting 24 men’s teams and 4 women’s teams this year and so far, they have 20 teams that have confirmed their participation.

The Nausori Rugby Club 10s tournament will be held from the 2nd to the 3rd of next month.
