The Nauciwai Village Women’s Group in Kadavu received an early Christmas gift from the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Lynda Tabuya, who handed over kitchen utensils and cooking equipment that can be used for income generation of members.
While handing over the items, Tabuya says that the Ministry was there to offer them an opportunity to improve their livelihoods through the provision of kitchen items, which could also be an income generation source for the group members.
She says when women earn, they not only benefit but they also reinvest the income into the well-being of their families.
Kadavu Provincial Administrator Joji Waqata encouraged the women to capitalize on the assistance provided by the Government and utilize it well as an income generation source, which could assist the women to diversify to other economic activities that will not only benefit the group but also their families and community as a whole.
