New improvements will be done to the Natovi Jetty soon.
Fiji Roads Authority CEO Neil Cook said this $2.2 million renewal is part of the capital projects approved by the Fiji Roads Authority Board during their May meeting last Thursday.
He said that the Fiji Roads Authority has also accepted the design put forward by the contractor which will provide a new jetty, mooring dolphin and a widened ramp.
He said for this year a total of $6.5 million worth of Contracts have been given out for capital works and this will include the sealing of the Kings Road up until Korovou.
The meeting also considered options for repair works to be done on the large scale damage at the Naiborebore and Kasavu Slips on the Kings Road.
He said while a bypass is available to motorists at Naiborebore, and Kasavu, investigation work and design is underway at both sites.
