One of the biggest municipalities in the country, Nasinu Town Council has received a backhoe loader from the Japanese Government's through its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Program.
Special Administrator Mosese Kama said with its seven wards and a population of over 100,000, the council is under immense pressure every day to meet the competing demands of its ratepayers concerning waste disposal, sanitation and drainage problems, outdoor sports facilities, and in the maintenance of a sustainable environment.
Kama said the Council will now be able to address these issues more efficiently and effectively and at lesser costs.
