The Nasinu Town Council is now at the stage of selecting the contractors to carry out drainage maintenance in areas around the municipality that are being affected by flooding.
CEO Lute Berends says once they select the right mix of contractors, work on seven areas which they have identified will start next month.
He has revealed that the priority areas will be low-lying areas in Nadawa and Nadera which have been experiencing flooding due to bad drainage.
The Nasinu Town Council has been given $476,000 to carry out these projects.
