Nasinu Secondary School is finally getting a new set of dining tables and chairs after 35 years.
This is after Basic Industries Limited officially handed over 20 dining tables and 200 steel framed chairs to the school today.
The cost of this donation is $8,800.
School Principal Apisalome Vunisa says the old dining tables and chairs have been used by students since 1981.
He says the school management saw the need to change these facilities and made a request to Basic Industries Limited.
Basic Industries Limited has also signed an agreement with the management of Nasinu Secondary School ensuring further support for the school’s capital projects.
The agreement focuses on ensuring support for the extension of the school car park, construction of the school ablution block and shower as well as the construction of a hard base court and additional teachers’ quarters.
