Fijian-born and Chiefs winger Emoni Narawa scored a try to help his side wallop the struggling Highlanders 52-28 in their Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific clash last night.
Narawa who was earlier mentioned by All Blacks coach Ian Foster as a contender for a spot in the All Blacks squad for the upcoming June tests and the Rugby World Cup later this year played an instrumental role in the win running a total of 100 metres in 12 carries.
He made some dominating tackles winning a couple of turnovers as well.
Fly-half Damien McKenzie was again in top form with his kicking boots scoring 17 points from 7 conversions and one penalty goal.
Pita Gus-Sowakula also started for the Chiefs last night.
In other matches this weekend, the Crusaders host the Force at 4.35pm today, the Blues face Moana Pasifika at 7.05 tonight, the Reds host the Waratahs at 9.35 tonight while the Rebels play the Brumbies at 4.35pm tomorrow.
