Fijian born winger Emoni Narawa has another reason to play for, and that is his 11-month-old daughter, Milla.
Narawa says he is dedicating his craft to her, following a rocky start to life last year after an issue with her lungs was discovered, hampering her breathing.
He got called back to Rotorua when she was just two days old because she was in the ICU, and they spent the next three weeks there as rugby was put on the shelf while they cared for Milla.
He adds Chiefs coach Clayton McMillan gave him time off as he is pretty family focused.
Narawa also adds he is lucky that his partner Danielle was pretty on to it and she also has her family close by for support.
He can gladly report that Milla has bounced back strongly, now “nice and healthy, happy”.
Narawa says he has a little family, it is his ‘why’ now, she is the reason he gets out of bed to go to work every morning, to try and get better.
The 23-year-old has made no decision yet as to whether he wants to represent Fiji or push for the All Blacks in future.
Narawa and the Chiefs are hoping to make it five wins from five against the Waratahs in Sydney on Friday night at 8.35pm.
