A Naqelelevu villager is calling for assistance with food and sanitary supplies as they have run out of all their supplies.
Leonard Loga who has been stuck in Suva since the current COVID-19 outbreak started in late April, says his family of seven including a 1-year-old baby, is on the island and they have been suffering from March with limited to no supplies at all.
Naqelelevu Island is located on the North East of Vanua Levu, and is one of the most remote islands.
Loga says the last supply ship that came to the island was in March.
He says right now his family is living on seafood and whatever they can find as they have even run out of baby food and sanitary supplies for their family members.
Loga says they have been told that a boat will be leaving soon, so this is when supplies can be delivered to the family.
He says the boat normally goes to Naqelelevu Island once a month.
If you want to assist Loga and his family on the island, you can contact him on 8781723.
