Namosi has successfully defended the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy for the second time this year when they beat Lautoka 15-9 this afternoon at the ANZ Stadium.

Namosi’s inside center, Kaleveti Ravouvou scored two tries while Netava Koroisau scored one.

National 7’s player and Namosi’s wing, Asaeli Tuivuaka was heavily marked during the game as Lautoka’s defence contained him every time he had the ball.

Lautoka played with 14 men for more than 70 minutes as Vatili Tuisabeto was shown a red card after a dangerous tackle in the 6th minute of the first half.

Former Flying Fijians fly-half, Waisea Luveniyali converted three penalties and missed another three for Lautoka.

In another Skipper cup match today, Tailevu and Yasawa drew 16-16.

In the matches yesterday, Nadroga defeated Nadi 29-13 while Suva beat Naitasiri 15-6.
