Namasau Bridge in Ba will be temporarily closed until further notice

The Fiji Roads Authority says the Namasau Bridge in Ba will be temporarily closed until further notice.

FRA says this is an emergency closure due to an under scour on the Kings Road end of the bridge and after initial assessment, the bridge approach was deemed unsafe for motorists and closure of the site was implemented.

They say this closure will also allow them to carry out further investigation and arrange for the appropriate repairs, once the weather improves.

It adds during this time, access to the places on the either ends of the bridge will be maintained through the detour route which is Chattur Singh Road via Moto Rd via Namasau Road and vice-versa.
