A family in Nakasi is grateful to the National Fire Authority for responding timely to their call for assistance last night.
A team from the Nakasi Fire Station responded to an emergency call to assist a family whose home was inundated with water due to a drain blockage adjacent to their house.
The team assisted the family with the clearance of debris to facilitate the unobstructed flow of waterways.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Office is urging the public to clear drains and waterways surrounding their homes to ensure the free flow of water, especially during periods of heavy rainfall.
