Families in Nakasi are finding relief and support through a preschool that goes beyond traditional care, offering free diapers, hot meals and educational resources to ease the burden on single mothers and average-earning parents.
In an interview with fijivillage News, the preschool’s founder Priti Lata says her family, especially her husband, inspired her to open the centre.
She says their main goal is to cater for working parents by providing the best care and education for children during their early developmental years.
Lata says the school offers programs for children aged three months to after-school care, with fees starting at $15 per day and $100 weekly for children with special needs.
The Founder says the preschool is the only centre in Fiji providing free diapers, hot meals, and free stationery packs to prepare children for kindergarten.
She says children also enjoy unique activities such as science experiments, baking and decorating food, fostering their creativity and critical thinking.
She urges parents to consider the centre, emphasizing its safe, secure facility with separate play and sleeping areas, qualified staff, and a family-oriented approach.
Meanwhile, the school currently has 34 students, and just last Saturday, 24 children graduated, ready to begin kindergarten.
