22-year-old Viliame Naikausa who is hoping for a good performance in his second tournament stresses that teamwork is a crucial component in winning in Hong Kong 7s and players should not play individually.
The utility player who made his debut in Vancouver this year says the opportunity to represent Fiji in 7s was too exciting for him, hence he was a bit shy but now he is confident to take part in the Hong Kong 7s tournament.
Naikausa says his personal goal is to be a better team member in this tournament because, through teamwork, he believes they can get that victory.
He says he will give his best shot in this tournament to help his brothers in the field to win that trophy.
The Fiji Airways Men’s 7s team will begin their Hong Kong 7s campaign against Australia at 9.30pm this Friday.
They will then take on Canada at 12.33am Saturday and play France at 5.43pm Saturday in their final pool match.
The Fijiana 7s side will play Australia at 4.25pm Friday in their first match, followed by their match against South Africa at 7.12pm Friday, and they will play Ireland at 3.02pm Saturday in their final pool match.
