Naholo and Kneepkens-Ratumaitavuki impress in Taranaki Bulls’ 31-25 win over North Harbour

Kiniviliame Naholo and Jacob Kneepkens-Ratumaitavuki were standout players for the Taranaki Bulls in their 31-25 win over North Harbour in the 7th round of the Bunnings National Provincial Championship last night.

The two players with links to Fiji both started for the Bulls with Naholo on the wing and Ratumaitavuki at fullback.

Though the players did not get on the score sheet, the players had their names on the statistics sheet and were impressive in both attack and defence.

In attack, Naholo ran a total of 50 metres in 7 carries, beating 7 defenders, making 1 line break and making 1 offload.

In defence, he made 13 tackles and completed 8 of them and also won 1 turnover.

Ratumaitavuki ran a total of 92 metres in 9 carries, making 1 line break and beating 3 defenders in attack while in defence, he made 8 tackles and completed 7 of them including a dominant tackle.

Meanwhile, Wellington currently leads the points table with 35 points followed by Tasman with 32 points, Taranaki is in 3rd place with 30 points and Bay of Plenty sits at 4th place with 28 points.

Round 8 of the competition kicks off tomorrow night.
