The Mataqali Suvavou gathered in numbers at the Grand Pacific Hotel to celebrate the 25th anniversary milestone achievement for Nadonumai Holding Limited which is also formalising a plan to construct a multistory and multi-function function tower that will cost over $20 million.
While officiating at the celebration on behalf of the Prime Minister, Minister for Lands Filimoni Vosarogo says the celebration marks a significant moment in the incredible journey of this indigenous company.
The Minister was accorded the full traditional welcome upon arrival starting with a qaloqalovi, vakamamaca, wase ni magiti vakaturaga and a meketaki yaqona.
He says the success story of Nadonumai Holdings Ltd is truly inspiring because it all started from humble beginnings to becoming the proud owner of the 10-story Suvavou House which has been generating income for a quarter of a century.
Vosarogo says this has demonstrated the power of indigenous entrepreneurship and its potential as a partner in any business investments.
He adds by leveraging the opportunities presented by their thriving economy, Nadonumai Holdings Ltd has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of three more properties, further enhancing its assets and impact, with esteemed new tenants such as the EU Embassy, Vanuatu High Commission Office, and NCI of New Zealand.
The Minister for Lands says their achievements remind them that when given the opportunity and support, indigenous entrepreneurs can create jobs, drive innovation, improve livelihoods and contribute to the prosperity of the people of Suvavou Village and the country as a whole.
He says their success is the Government's success and they are committed to supporting them every step of the way as they continue to write new chapters of success and prosperity, which is reflected in the theme Marking Milestones, and Embracing Growth.
Roko Tui Suva Ratu Sanaila Mudunavosa says as they celebrate their achievements, they need to acknowledge the role that they, as individuals play within their organisation through collaborations and partnerships and public-private partnerships, so they can create a brighter future for all.
Ratu Sanaila says it is critical to take the moment to pause and reflect on it's achievement.
