To show their appreciation to the bronze medal-winning Fijiana 7s team at the Tokyo Olympics, the Nadina Fijian Authentic Restaurant at Denarau has organized a special seafood lunch for the players and team management with the help of sponsors today.
The restaurant had also organized a lunch when the team arrived in the country last Thursday.
Restaurant Manager Valrie Subam says after they prepared lunch for the side last week, a number of prominent businesswomen from Pacific Harbour, Nadi and Lautoka have also come on board to assist them.
She says the team has done the country proud and they feel this is one way to show their appreciation.
Subam says they would have liked to organise a party for them at their restaurant but that is not possible due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
She has also revealed that they have named a dish after the Fijiana 7s team which is known as the “Fijiana Mini Kusima Plata.”
Subam says since the team is still in quarantine, the food will be delivered at the gate and all COVID-19 related protocols will be followed.
