A report will be given to Government this week in relation to the proposed Nadi river diversion.
Nadi Special Administrator Aisea Tuidraki said they met with government and JICA officials over the weekend to discuss the project which will cost about $250 million.
He said they are also putting forward other national disaster preparedness projects to be considered.
Meanwhile, shops in Nadi town that have fully recovered are open for business.
Tuidraki said about $140 million worth of damages from the floods have been estimated for Nadi Town.
