Nadi have taken the INKK Farebrother Cup back to the Jet-set town after edging Nadroga 22-20 at Lawaqa Park this afternoon.
The Stallions who were able to successfully fend off the first 3 challenges this year were made to work hard by a Nadi team that had 4 weeks to prepare.
Nadi drew first blood with a try to Flyhalf Navitalai Tuilawa in the second minute that was converted.
Nadroga quickly replied with a try to nippy halfback Aminiasi Natoga, converted by flyhalf Jack Volavola.
Nadroga led 17-12 at half-time.
In the first minute of the second half, Jack Volavola added another 3 points through a penalty that was awarded to Nadroga for some lack of discipline from Nadi, however, Volavola was later shown a yellow card.
Nadi came back in the 51st minute slotting a three pointer from the boot of fullback Rafaele Tunidau.
In the 65th minute Ilisoni Galala scored for Nadi which was converted by Tunidau.
Nadi got their revenge after losing the Farebrother to Nadroga in 2022 when the final whistle went today, winning the game 22-20 and lifting the prestigious provincial trophy at the Stallions home ground after 40 years.
