More than 100 people currently taking shelter at Saint Andrews Primary School due to flooding in Nadi were provided with warm meals by the Nadi Muslim League last night.
School Trustee Ashfaaq Khan says many evacuees arrived with only their mattresses, so a request was made to the League, which prepared the meals.
Khan has also made an additional request for food supplies, stating that it is likely there will still be people in the evacuation centre today who will require meals.
Sixty-three families, including three pregnant women, are at the evacuation centre.
