Fijians can now get a wide range of in-house counselling services at the Nadi Hospital after the completion of the renovation works of the Empower Pacific counselling centre that is located within the hospital.
The Health Ministry says these counselling services are aimed at individuals facing challenges such as self-harm, domestic violence, sexual assault, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, intrauterine deaths, child malnutrition, miscarriages, substance abuse, HIV, and more.
They say the essential services can be offered by the hospital through the generous support of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who funded the renovation works costing over $90,000.
The Ministry says this renovation has transformed the facility into a welcoming and supportive environment for those in need.
Empower Pacific has placed two experienced professional counsellors and one dedicated social worker at the hospital, who are committed to providing compassionate and confidential counselling services to the community, ensuring that individuals can seek help in a safe and nurturing setting.
