Tulia Nacola who is responsible for the canoes at the World Eco Challenge 2019 has encouraged the young people of Fiji to dream big.
Nacola says anything is possible as she never thought that she would be part of something this big and grand.
She added that she was invited by a friend to be part of this event.
Eco‑Challenge Fiji started in Draubuta, Tailevu yesterday.
Tukini Cama who will be following the teams for Legend FM News during this challenge says 66 teams from 30 countries are competing in Eco‑Challenge Fiji.
Team Namako and Team Tabu Soro are representing Fiji.
As part of the race, teams have to progress 24 hours a day, uninterrupted, over 600 kilometres of mountains and jungle.
Famous television presenter and survival instructor, Bear Grylls who is the host and co producer of Eco‑Challenge Fiji is in the country for the race.
The prize money is $100,000 while the runner up gets $50,000. $25,000 goes to the team that finishes in third place.
