The Nabua community members took part in a Fun Day in Nabua to build a strong and lasting relationship after the recent brawl resulted in 45 men and 14 juveniles being charged by police.
Organising Committee member, Buatavatava Ravika says the community of Nabua have forgiven all those who were allegedly involved in the brawl about three weeks ago.
Ravika says they have had discussions with the Police and have decided to work with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of i-Taukei Affairs.
He further says these Ministries could form a task-force and include the community policing team to try and reach out the communities of Nabua and Topline.
Ravika says it is also prudent to include Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre as their aim is to get the youths together.
Ravika adds the communities in Nabua and Topline believe sports can bring them together because a number of youths are keen on taking up sports as a profession as many have already made a career out of it.
