New Zealand police are reiterating that no parties are to be held during Level 3 restrictions after receiving 1,200 complaints since it began.
Stuff.co reports that this comes after eight people with connections to the Mongrel Mob were arrested at a gathering on Kowhai Tce in Christchurch on Friday.
They were arrested for obstructing a medical officer and spent the night in custody.
New Zealand police say from 6pm Friday to 6pm Saturday, they received 685 complaints with regard to mass gatherings.
Acting Assistant Commissioner, Scott Fraser says under no circumstances should anyone be having a party under alert level 3 restrictions and such behaviour could waste all the sacrifices made over the last five weeks.
Fraser says they are prioritizing check ups on reports of mass gatherings of 10 or more people.
