New Zealand’s Ministry of Health has confirmed eight new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in NZ to 20.
These cases are all associated with international travel.
There are four new cases in Auckland, one in Christchurch, two in Waikato and one in Invercargill.
Meanwhile, the number of cases of coronavirus in Guam has grown to eight, with three people testing positive yesterday.
The Guam government yesterday imposed mandatory quarantine for anyone arriving on the island.
New Caledonia's government has confirmed the territory's first two cases of COVID-19.
The government said last night two people who arrived from Australia on their honeymoon have tested positive for the coronavirus.
An Aucklander suspected of having COVID-19 has been placed in isolation in Samoa.
The Samoa Ministry of Health said the patient has been admitted to the Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital in Apia.
The Ministry says samples from the patient have been sent to Australia for testing.
