NZ Minister for Foreign Affairs meets with leaders of SODELPA, NFP, People's Alliance and Unity Fiji

New Zealand's Minister for Foreign Affairs Nanaia Mahuta met with four leaders of Fiji's Opposition political parties today.

She met with SODELPA Leader Viliame Gavoka, NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad, People's Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka and Unity Fiji Leader Savenaca Narube.

The New Zealand High Commission says a healthy opposition is critical to a healthy democracy.

It says New Zealand like our other partners around the region is focused on promoting a strong Blue Pacific Continent with shared values of good governance, democratic norms and human rights.
