The NSW government has given approval for 40,000 spectators to flood through the gates at ANZ Stadium in Sydney for the NRL grand final.
Earlier this month, the NSW government announced that crowds would be able to host up to 50 per cent capacity, with NRL announcing the grand final would be moved from the 48,000 capacity SCG to ANZ Stadium to get more fans through the doors.
NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo said the code was excited over the number of spectators approved by the government.
The event on October 25th will feature both the men's and women's deciders.
