NFP MPs voted for Ratu Epeli Nailatikau as Speaker of Parliament

New Speaker of Parliament Ratu Epeli Nailatikau and National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad

National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad has confirmed that the three NFP parliamentarians voted for Ratu Epeli Nailatikau to be elected as Speaker of Parliament today.

Prasad says that is their position and they will leave it at that.

30 parliamentarians voted for Ratu Epeli to be appointed as Speaker while 21 parliamentarians voted for Tanya Waqanika.
