FNPF members lined outside Downtown Boulevard opting for FNPF's Natural Disaster Assistance.

The Fiji National Provident Fund has declined to comment on a recent statement from the National Federation Party raising concerns about the Cyclone Winston Natural Disaster Assistance.

NFP Leader Dr. Biman Prasad said that they are disappointed with the Board of FNPF for reviewing the time period of the assistance from 60 days, as FNPF initially stated, to next Friday.

Dr. Prasad said this is wrong as it gives members only one more week to apply.

He said they would like FNPF to extend the time period to at least mid-April.

He also said FNPF should set up temporary outlets outside major shopping areas to receive applications.

Dr. Prasad added that members should also be able to lodge their applications at post offices and also be allowed to send completed applications online.
