You will now see the National Fire Authority officers in a new look after their official attire has been revamped and launched 29 years after it was nationalised.
While launching the new attire and their Business Continuity Plan, Minister for Housing and Local Government Maciu Katamotu Nalumisa says this new look is more than a change in attire, but a symbol of NFA’s evolving identity and the broader responsibilities it embraces.
The Business Continuity Plan is an exercise that will assist Fijians on what they should do when a tsunami or hurricanes occur. Nalumisa says the unified, professional image enhances NFA’s visibility and underscores the seriousness of its mission.
He says the new uniforms are designed to be functional, comfortable, and recognisable and reinforce NFA’s commitment to safety and excellence in every aspect of its work.
He adds that the perception of an old and worn-out operation is going to be filled with a ray of new hope and a rainbow of service delivery.
Nalumisa says this is what the public want, this is what the Government expects from the National Fire Authority, and this is what the management and staff of NFA want to embroider itself around.
The Minister says for an organisation that stands out as a beacon of hope for the people during emergencies, change is imperative and cannot be done in isolation, as they need to learn and benchmark from other similar organisations who are doing better than them.
