The National Fire Authority is now investigating three fire incidents which occurred yesterday.
According to the NFA, the priority at the moment is to find out the cause of the three house fires.
Two houses were destroyed in a fire at Sukunaivalu road in Nabua.
An eye-witness confirmed to Fijivillage that the fire started around 3pm yesterday.
The eye-witness says that the fire started from a three-bedroom house where a family was sleeping and it spread to the next house which was empty.
He says the family was alerted by their neighbour and got to safety.
A house consisting of two flats was also destroyed in a fire at Gaji Road in Samabula.
34‑year‑old tenant and mother of three, Tulia Nauvi says they were having lunch when people outside their home alerted them of smoke that was coming from the bottom of the house.
Meanwhile, seven people are homeless after a three flat house was destroyed in a fire at Caubati road in Nasinu.
