NDMO team and government officials depart for Sourthern Lau Group to provide relief supplies to assist people affected by TC Tino

The National Disaster Management team and government officials have been deployed to the Southern Lau Group to provide relief supplies to people who have been affected by cyclones Sarai and Tino.

Minister for Infrastructure, Jone Usamate says the team will be in Lau for about 7 to 9 days where they will be providing supplies to people, doing damage assessments and providing health services.

Meanwhile Minister for Health, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete says his team will be providing medical assistance such as medication and surgeries to those who have been negatively affected.

Dr Waqainabete says their team is also in the North conducting damage assessments and providing medical services to the people who have been affected by cyclones Sarai and Tino.
