Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s forward Josua Vakurunabili says that he would not be able to be in the place where he is now if it was not for his father pushing him to achieve new and greater things.
Speaking to Fiji Rugby, Vakurunabili revealed that his father, the late Tui Conua Ratu Luke Veidovi played a vital role in shaping his rugby career.
Ratu Luke the late chief of the Tikina o Conua in the Nadroga Province passed away last month and will be succeeded by Vakurinabili’s older brother Ratu Inia Tukere.
He adds even when he was at his lowest point in his life, his father had always been there and his words of encouragement will always keep him going.
Vakurinabili has played a total of 143 matches for Fiji in the HSBC 7s series and has 47 tries to his name.
