Fiji Airways Flying Fijians fullback, Kini Murimurivalu has stated that they need to have a high ball retention percentage if they are to beat the Wallabies in their first match of the Rugby World Cup.
The former Queen Victoria School student says their ball retention percentage last week against Tonga was very low and this was evident in the first half of the match where they had to defend for almost 30 minutes.
He says if they work hard on ball retention, it would help in their game against Australia.
Murimurivalu highlighted that their attack and defence has been improving but more needs to be done if they want to beat tier one nations in Japan.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama stated in there farewell dinner last night that they cannot afford to make the same against the Wallabies that they made against Tonga last weekend as Australia will capitalise on this.
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Georgia and Uruguay for the Rugby World Cup.
Fiji will take on Australia in their first game at 4.45pm on the 21st of this month.
