Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum says that it is unfortunate that most of the political parties in Fiji do not have political maturity.
Sayed‑Khaiyum said this at the Budget Roadshow at Vunimono High School in Nausori last night, after a resident of Korociri, Sanjay Narayan asked him what can be done to political parties who are making false claims especially regarding the National Debt.

The Minister for Economy then raised his concern about a meeting which was held by SODELPA and the lack of involvement from academics and people in the private sector in giving their objective opinions on issues and claims made by political parties.
Sayed-Khaiyum adds that as an individual citizen one must learn to access information from sites that have been prepared and contains accurate figures.
Meanwhile, Sayed‑Khaiyum also says that some political parties are not talking about high schools.
He says they are only targeting universities because they will be voting while high school students do not vote.
He says that the government is concerned about the overall education sector.
