Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison toured the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Blackrock Camp in Nadi today as part of his two day visit to Fiji and was pleased with its upcoming Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Camp.
Morrison says the progress made at the Blackrock Training Camp builds on the bilateral meeting he and Fiji's Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama had in Suva where they went through follow up actions on the items they were able to discuss in Canberra during Bainimarama's recent visit to Australia.
The Australian Prime Minister was received by Minister of Defence Inia Seriratu and visited the 183 RFMF officers who are on a six-week pre-deployment training for Iraq.
The Australian Government’s assistance towards the HADR Camp is part of its Pacific Step-Up initiative.
