More than 5,000 athletes representing 72 nations and territories are set to compete in 19 sports and 280 medal events over a packed 11 days at the Commonwealth Games.
Fiji will have 64 athletes across 12 sports, including Para Athletics and Para Table Tennis, as well as Athletics, Boxing, Judo, Lawn Bowls, Men’s and Women’s 7s, Squash, Table Tennis and Weightlifting.
British music icons Duran Duran will headline the Opening Ceremony which is expected to start at 6am tomorrow.
The Fijiana 7s team will face Scotland in their first match at 8.22pm tomorrow, they will meet South Africa in their second match at 4.30am Saturday before they face Australia at 8.22pm Saturday.
The semifinals will kick off at 6.42am Sunday while the women’s gold final will start at 8.04am Monday.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Men's 7s first match is against Zambia at 12.02am Saturday, then they will meet Canada at 8.32am Saturday and play Wales in their final pool match at 12.02am Sunday.
