Ba Town has been hit badly in the flooding over the weekend and a lot of work will have to be carried out to normalise services in the commercial and residential areas.
More than 250 houses were affected by flood waters in Yalalevu in Ba and residents and the business community are now trying to clear the debris.
Ba Town’s CEO Dip Narayan says the Council workers are working hard to ensure services normalize by tomorrow.
Quick action has been taken by the Nadi Town Council and the business community to normalise services in Nadi Town which was badly hit in the flooding over the long weekend.
Special Administrator Robin Ali says about 800 vendors have been severely affected as they have lost their stock.
He says Nadi’s main street has been quickly cleared for the travelling public, however, works on other roads are ongoing.
