With the Fiji Water Flying Fijians gearing up for the November tests tour, coach Mick Byrne sees that there are a lot of opportunities available for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua players to get more international experiences with the team.
Byrne says in the recent Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup competition, most of the Northern Hemisphere players were not available and it gave a lot of young Drua players the opportunity to show their talent on the international stage.
He says the selection of the team for the November tour is going to be based on merit and performance.
He adds the first test match against Scotland this November will be outside the regulation 9 which will see a lot of the Northern Hemisphere-based players not available which will see a lot of the Drua players play that game.
Meanwhile, Byrne is expected to name his squad for the November tour by the end of this week.
The Flying Fijians will take on Scotland on the 3rd of November in their first test, they will then take on Wales on the 11th of November before playing Spain in the third test on the 17th of November. They will play Ireland on the 24th of November in their final test.
