More marijuana farms being found in new areas – ACP Khan
Police Chief of Operations ACP Abdul Khan says they are continuously finding new areas where there are large farms of marijuana and this is through drone operations and community support.
He says apart from their operations in Kadavu and Vanua Levu, they have now found marijuana farms in Serua.
There were two separate drug raids conducted in Serua and Nadroga last week.
A 40-year-old was arrested for allegedly cultivating 200 marijuana plants in Vunaniu, Serua.
Another farmer was arrested in Semo Village in Nadroga.
ACP Khan says they have also started Operation Solesolevaki to target serious crimes.
He says there will be increased police visibility.
