This year’s Fiji Bitter Sevens Series competition is expected to be more fierce and thrilling with the best Fijian rugby talent to be displayed on television.
This was highlighted by Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Manager Willie Baleinabuli while officiating at the launch of the Fiji Bitter 7s Series at the Paradise Beverages Headquarters in Suva.
While acknowledging the sponsorship of the Paradise Governance Group, Baleinabuli says their continued support will help shape the next generation of Fijian rugby players and leaders.
He says he hopes that the passion, dedication and sponsorship of the players, coaches, officials and volunteers inspire us all.
Paradise Beverages Head of Marketing Etrina Simpson says their role runs much deeper as they are here to foster the passion, the talent and the spirit that flourishes within the people of Fiji.
Simpson says rugby is not just a game but is a force that binds us together, crossing boundaries, uniting hearts and offering each of us a chance to be part of something greater through its uniting power.
She adds this year, their commitment to the Fiji Bitter 7 Series is as strong as ever as the tournament stands as a testament to the resilience and talent of Fijians, where stories of determination, courage, and sheer willpower are written anew with every passing match.
The event also marked the unveiling of the new limited edition 330ml Fiji Bitter Cans, themed “We Live For Rugby” for the 2024-2025 Series.
The Fiji Bitter 7s series will have 6 legs with 2 tournaments in 1 leg.
The first leg of the series kicks off with the Fiji Bitter Kadavu 7s which will be held from next Thursday to Saturday at the Namalata School Ground in Vunisea, Kadavu, followed by the Fiji Bitter Malake 7s which will be held from the 24th to the 26th of this month at the Narauyabe Sports Ground in Rakiraki.
