Montoya scores for Warriors however they fall short of a win

Fiji born winger, Marcelo Montoya scored a try for the Warriors but it was not enough to secure a win as they went down to the Titans 20-18 in the NRL last night.

Montoya made amends for his defensive woes by taking a great ball from Reece Walsh to score in the corner and in bizarre fashion the Warriors hit the lead just before the halftime hooter.

They led 18-16 at half time.

With Dallin Watene-Zelezniak injured and Montoya out of form, the Warriors had real concerns out wide.

This is the Titans’ first victory of the 2022 season.

In other games last night, the Cowboys out-muscled the Raiders 26-6 while the Sharks edged the Eels 18-16.

The Knights will play the Wests Tigers at 5.05pm today while the Bulldogs will take on the Broncos at 7.15pm.
