The Australian Governor-General David Hurley says money is not the heart of Fiji and Australia’s relationship, but it is built on hands together working on projects and helping each other out.
Hurley highlighted this during the reopening of the newly constructed Maramarua District School Kindergarten.
He says Fiji and Australia's relationship is also built on enriching lives and ensuring that both peoples in Australia and Fiji take on the world with the best possible opportunity they can.
Hurley says it warms his heart to witness and celebrate the reopening of a kindergarten where the very basics of education are taught to the children as they are in Australia.
He says Australia continues to value the Vuvale relationship with Fiji and family is important even though we might be far apart.
The Governor-General says the kindergarten is a fine example of the tireless work that we will do for each other and for the future.
