Monasavu recorded the lowest temperature of 13.6 degrees last night.
The Nadi Weather office said people can expect cooler days and nights this weekend.
Last night Suva recorded 20.6 degrees, Nadi 19.6 degrees, Labasa had 20 degrees and other centers had an average of 20 degrees.
The Climate Division said it’s not unusual as lowest minimum temperature recorded ever was in August 1986 which was 6.5 degrees in Nadrau in the interior of Vitilevu.
The average minimum temperature recorded for cooler nights this year ranges between 19 to 24 degrees for coastal areas.
The cooler days are due to Southerly winds from cooler side which is expected to continue till Monday.
A strong wind warning is in force for all Fiji waters and a cool Southerly wind-flow prevails over Fiji.
