After Israel vowed to deepen and intensify its attacks, Gaza has endured a weekend of increasingly devastating bombardments, while strikes in Syria and Lebanon stoked fears the two-week-old war could spiral into a broader conflict.
Israel has significantly stepped up its strikes on Gaza, as it seeks to clear out potential resistance in the north of the territory in preparation for its coming ground invasion.

Palestinians across the territory are queuing for food, sifting through rubble for survivors and burying their dead.
Gaza's health ministry said 266 Palestinians, including 117 children, had been killed by Israeli air strikes in the past 24 hours in the enclave, which has been under "total siege" since the war erupted two weeks ago.
Israel began unrelenting air strikes on Gaza to its south-west after Hamas militants breached the border and carried out a shock rampage through nearby communities on October 7.

Israel says 1,400 people, mainly civilians, were killed in Hamas's terror attacks and 212 hostages were taken back to Gaza.
Gaza's Health Ministry said on Sunday that Israel's air and missile strikes in retaliation had killed at least 4,651 Palestinians, including hundreds of children, with more than a million of the tiny territory's 2.3 million people displaced.
