Miss Nasinu wins Best Research Topic Award in Miss Fiji Pageant

Miss Nasinu Hally Qaqa won the Best Research Topic Award in the TFL Miss Fiji Pageant last night at Thurston Gardens.

Qaqa spoke on Substance Abuse, Teenage Pregnancies and Suicide.

Miss Labasa Sheryl Chand won the Best Traditionally Inspired Award.

Chand wore a dress that depicted a warrior and a mermaid.

Local materials such as Magimagi, Voivoi, Tapa, Kuta, Shells and Pearls were utilized for the making of Miss Labasa’s dress.

A float precession will leave Flea Market at 4.30pm today which will go through Rodwell Road to the Thurston Gardens.

TFL Miss Fiji will be crowned at 7 tonight.

Miss Fiji will then take part in the upcoming Miss Pacific Islands Pageant in December in Nadi.
