Being crowned the Miss Vodafone Hibiscus 2011 was a bonus to raising awareness on environmental issues.
That was the sentiment of Miss Suva City Council Alisi Rabukawaqa who was crowned Miss Hibiscus last night.
Rabukawaqa said she looks forward to further community projects and continuing her work on sustaining the environment.
Hibiscus King Peter Waqavonovono said the festival has been a great opportunity on advocating for youth issues and he will now be focusing on Charity Champs.
Meanwhile, first runner up to the Hibiscus queen was Miss Viti Spinal Association Charlene Prakash, second runner up was Miss FBC Amrita Priyadarshani, third was Miss Youth champ for mental health Koini Vakaloloma while fourth runner up was Miss Satish Motor Mart rental Mere Komailevuka.
